kernel Linux 4.0


O novo Kernel Linux 4.0 já chegou e se chama "Hurr Durr i'am a Sheep" ou em português "Hurr Durr eu sou uma ovelha".




Que tal olharmos o novo kernel para sabermos o que ele tém além do nome esquisito.

Da versão 3.19.4 para a 4.0

 Ao o analizarmos o  novo kernel percebemos que não houve "mudanças significativas" e em recente mensagem ao site  Linux malling list (LKML)  Linus Torvalds afirma que estava pulando a numeração de 3.19 para a 4.0 e  que não há nada de tão especial com o novo kernel.
Linus  ainda fala que a versão do  kernel 4.1 essa sim será  um lançamento maior.

Novidades do Novo Kernel 

As novidades do novo kernel são:

1 - Instalar atualizações do kernel sem a necessidade de reinicializar o computador (é muito boa).

2 - Melhoramentos no Intel ‘Skylake’ platform.

3 - Suporte ao SoC Intel Quark.


4 - Vários patches para melhorar a execução do Linux no Playstation 3.


5 - Suporte ao driver DisplayPort Audio TOpen-source da AMD Radeon.


6 - Vários drivers misc HID, incluindo teclados compactos da Lenovo, Wacom Cintiq 27QHD,

Drivers de configurações de energia da Toshiba adicionou a função USB sleep/charge, rapid charge, sleep w/ music, etc.


7 - Melhorias nos File System, incluindo F2FS, BtrfFS, etc.
