O Winer baseado no Hangover 8.11 começa a integrar o suporte do FEX Emulator

 

O projeto de código aberto Hangover tem trabalhado no suporte a aplicativos e jogos do Windows em outras arquiteturas de CPU, como AArch64 rodando Linux. RISC-V e POWER9 são outras arquiteturas de CPU interessantes para habilitar o suporte ao Hangover. Além de aproveitar o software Wine, o Hangover até o momento tem utilizado o emulador QEMU como parte de sua implementação, mas agora eles também começaram a integrar o suporte ao FEX.

A Intel interrompe o desenvolvimento do software Open-Source HAXM

 

Durante anos, a Intel desenvolveu o HAXM como um gerenciador de execução acelerada por hardware com foco em usá-lo para o Android Emulator e QEMU em conjunto com processadores habilitados para Intel VT. O HAXM funciona não apenas no Linux, mas também no Windows, macOS e alguns BSDs. Infelizmente, a Intel decidiu descontinuar o desenvolvimento do HAXM. Ah, sim, eles também observaram que há problemas de segurança com o código, então é melhor parar de usá-lo.
